Okay, I realize this is really lame because it is probably the subject of about 784,289 different blogs right now. But there is never anything worth watching on TV in the summer. This is really fine by me, because usually I have a lot better things to do than watch TV (such as playing Nintendo Wii).
But the point of my post here is to elicit ideas from anyone who happens to see this. What TV shows have you watched this summer? Are there any good ones out there that I don't know about, which are worth watching? And don't say "you should read a book," because that is lame. All I do is read stuff all day and when I am home at night I want to relax and watch a movie or TV or something.

John,
A couple of shows that I would definietly recommend watching are both on MTV.
1) Run's House: This show follow the family of rap superstar Joseph Simmons. It is a great show to watch. I believe the new season begins on the 16th of July and airs each thursday night
2) The Hills: A reality show following Lauren Conrad "LC" in her life as a young Hollywood superstar the new season begins sometime in early August.
3) HOW COULD YO FORGET TE TOUR DE FRANCE...you suck
4) We also have the olympics beginning on 8/8/08. I don't really know what you are complainig about, summers where you get the TdF and Olympics are unbelievable
That is what we watch.
3)
Don't watch what is on. Watch what was on and you missed and is now on DVD using Netflix. No commercials, etc. I can highly recommend Veronica Mars, if you haven't seen all 3 seasons.
Seth and Ryan,
Thanks for the input. One series we did rent on DVD was Flight of the Conchords - these guys are incredibly witty. One or two of the episodes were a little off color, but for the most part it is very witty, clever comedy. Plus, the New Zealand accents are great. I will check out Veronica Mars, I've heard it is good. After googling it I will definitely be checking it out, as it stars Kristen Bell - she is a cutie and I really liked her character on Heroes.
SEth, I really hope you are joking about Run's House and The Hills. :-) But I will be watching some of the Olympics coverage, with certainty. And sorry about the Tour De France. I know you love watching that but I have never been a huge fan. I enjoy the scenery but the biking is boring.
I didn't read any one else's posts, so if this is a repeat I don't care. You should rent the DVD's of the TV show Hustle. It is a British show about good guy con artists, you know, the type of criminals who only commit crimes against other criminals?
One of my friends likes Burn Notice, I've never seen it. Also, I watched a show on Spike the other day called The Factory. I'd never heard of it, but I laughed my A off. You should record those on DVR and watch them. I don't know how long it's been out.
If you haven't seen all of the It's Always Sunny in Philladelphia episodes, those are definitely worth renting, I worship that show. It is also starting up again in September.
If your ball and chain allows it, you should also watch all the Curb Your Enthusiasms that you may have missed. It earns it's MA rating through constant barrage's of F bombs, but it is great.
that is all
xoxo
